For H2D Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan functionality will be fully supported after the scheduled firmware update (Q1, 2026). Before the update, the fan will not operate as intended.
Enhanced Hotend Cooling
The Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan directs airflow across the hotend heatsink fins, helping maintain stable temperatures during high-temperature printing. This reduces the risk of heatsink overheating, which could otherwise lead to clogs.|
Additional Cooling for the Extruder
Maintaining a controlled extruder temperature is crucial when printing filaments prone to heat creep. The Enhanced Cooling Fan also provides targeted airflow to the extruder, improving reliability when printing low heat-creep-tolerance materials.
